Two young local rugby league players are set for the Cronulla Sharks League team

Larry Moore and Harry Barsdell students of Whakatāne’s Trident High School were picked to trial for the Balmain Tigers and Cronulla Sharks Australian League teams in September and both have been selected as part of the 25 member under 16 Cronulla Sharks team. They each have a 12 month contract and will relocate to Australia. Larry Moore says that if it wasn’t for the NZ Māori Rugby League Rangatahi Tournament in Rotorua they would not be in this position.
